Eloise Lally works internationally, creating and supporting a wide variety of performance based actions in her role as a director and dramaturg.
Her recent production of Purcell’s ‘The Fairy Queen’ for Hampstead Garden Opera, was nominated for Off West End awards, in the Best Opera Production and Best Opera Performance categories. Eloise will soon be directing Caryl Churchill’s radio play ‘Not Not Not Not Not Enough Oxygen’ for a new theatre space at Peckham Levels.
credits include : Lucrezia Borgia for English Touring Opera, a double - bill of short play’s with third year actors at Mountview Academy and as a dramaturg for Hooligan Art Community.
Eloise has worked as a revival director for Katie Mitchell’s operatic productions , directing her stagings at many of Europe’s leading opera houses. This has included productions at The Liceu, Oper Koln, WNO and Opera National de Bordeaux.
Her theatre work has included site - specific, outdoor production’s of The Tempest, Cymbeline, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and extensive work with playwrights on new texts, directing at Theatre503, Ovalhouse and many of London’s off - west end venue’s.
As an assistant, she has worked with Louisa Muller at Garsington Opera, Ella Marchment for Wexford Opera Festival and recently toured Paul Carr’s new production of ‘Powder Her Face’ with the Netherlands Reisoper.
She has an MA in Theatre Directing from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and a 1st class Ba in Theatre from University of Surrey.
